Southern Tier Community Pint Night

Untitled-1

On Thursday, November 20th we are having a special Community Pint Night featuring Souther Tier Brewery to benefit the “SherryAnn Cancer Fund” established to help SherryAnn continue her cancer treatments.  SherryAnn, was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and Non-Small Cell Lung cancers.  The Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma is an aggressive Lymphoma called Burkitt Lymphoma. Please share…

A Letter from Robert Wilber, Husband of SherryAnn
I met my beautiful wife, SherryAnn, on November 25, 2001.  It was love at first sight.  I fell in love with her character, personality, and her precious smile.  Then on January 1, 2002, I asked my beloved SherryAnn, on one knee, to take my hand in marriage.  We were married on Saturday March 13, 2004 at 1:00pm.
I remember on our third date, I took SherryAnn horseback riding.  My wife never had been on a horse before.  It was so funny to see her holding back the horse, while at the same time, telling the horse to move, because she was scared.  After we were married, we always enjoyed going to the White Mountains, in the winter, once a year.  SherryAnn loves winter and the mountains.
In December, SherryAnn was diagnosed with Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer.  We both were shocked, because SherryAnn never smoked a day in her life.  She has bronchial asthma, which the doctor’s believed was triggered by her two parents, which smoked around her as a child.  The Lung Cancer got worse over time, and is currently in Stage III.
In spring, SherryAnn was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma-Burkitt, which currently is in Stage II b.  The doctors believe now, that the Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer was a result of the Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, which they believe settled in her lungs, because the lungs were susceptible due to the asthma.
The first thing I noticed after my wife was diagnosed with the cancers was the absence of her precious smile.  Over time, the pain erased her smile.  SherryAnn always had a sense of humor and could find humor in anything, but not this time.
I remember hiking with SherryAnn in the White Mountains and she was so joyful and energetic, I couldn’t keep up with her.  She also loved to dance, exercise, and walked at least ten miles a day.  The cancer, like a thief in the night, robbed my wife of her ability to enjoy and do all these things that she loved.
SherryAnn has health insurance but, they have stopped paying for any of her care.  In result, I have taken all my savings to pay for her cancer treatments.  I also have sacrificed our budget money to pay for her medical care.  Now I am at the point where I have no more means to help my beloved wife continue her cancer treatments.
I am frightened that if my beloved wife is not able to get her medical care, that the cancers will take my wife from me.  Any contributions that you can make will be immensely appreciated.
                                      Thank you so much.
                                      Robert Wilber
